After years of throwing all my eggs into the basket of travel, I’ve decided to do something with all the knowledge I’ve gained! I’m not sure why it took my so long to start a blog, especially after writing creatively and competitively throughout my childhood.
But – I’m turning 30 this month; No better time to get in touch with what brought my joy as a kid!
That being said, I’m not sure it’s customary to write an intro post when starting a new blog, but it felt strange to show up here on the internet without a hello. So, hi!
My goal here on this travel and food blog is to share what I’ve learned throughout the past 6 years of solo-travel and backpacking adventures, while inspiring other 20-something women to make a point to go on adventures of their own.
As I’m leaving my 20’s, my travel looks a little different these days, but not too much…
I’m still lugging around my Osprey backpack stuffed to the brim, but only with the necessities. (Don’t ask about the time I packed a full gel nail kit and drill in my tiny carry-on.)
I’m still walking anywhere and everywhere to avoid spending money on transportation, but these days I have the funds to hop in a taxi if push comes to shove.
I’m still spending the majority of my travel funds on food and wine, but my taste and research beforehand has improved tremendously. In fact, it’s just about the only thing I research before taking a trip! Ha!
Oh yes – My second goal for this blog is to share the top meals I discover in each destination, in addition to local dishes you should add to your foodie bucket list!
I’m looking forward to this journey with whoever (if anyone) ends up reading this! My dream would be to help you live life more adventurously, so if there is a topic in particular you’d like me to talk more about, send over a message!
