30 Looks Different Than I Imagined It Would…
Taking a pause from the travel content today, I thought it would be nice to share something personal: A glimpse of my 30th birthday. This is a moment I’ve actually dreaded for a long time, but recently have come to be excited about. Granite, I think the excitement was a result of telling people I was 30 for months before, therefore feeling grateful to finally hit the milestone once the time came. (Highly recommend this method of coping, by the way.)
The idea of sharing this is mostly for me… Something to look back on over the years, as I build this little online community. This blog is something I’ve subconsciously had in the back of my mind for a long time and plan to continue building for many years to come.
So here it is! My first little birthday reflection. It’s short and sweet, but completely embodies what I feel at this moment and even includes a snapshot of me on this very monumental day in my life.

30 looks different than I imagined it would…
I never imagined I would spend my 20’s traveling the world (ps. so glad I did)
I never imagined I would pursue multiple careers within my first decade of adulthood (why didn’t y’all warn us about this?)
I never imagined the people I love most would be scattered around the world (thank god I’m so talented at hopping on planes)
I never imagined I wouldn’t be a pop star, hehe
I certainly did not imagine I would spend my 30th year circling back to what brought me the most joy 20 years ago, and for that I am most grateful.
Grateful for the woman I am & for the woman I am becoming. 10 year old me would be proud. ❤️
I will never stop being stubborn about designing the big beautiful life I always imagined. YAY 30!

Like I said, short and sweet! (Is the Sabrina Carpenter era getting to me?)
Surely I will be embarrassed of this and each and every birthday post for years to come. But that’s what life is all about right? Second hand embarrassment for our past selves as we continue improving for the future.
Happy Birthday To Me!
